THE  FUNDATION FOR  CHILD’S SMILE

                           “Fundacja o Uśmiech Dziecka” (“The Foundation For a child’s smile) Has been existing Since 1992 by Provincial Children Hospital in Toruń . The aim of the Foundation is helping all ,poor children. Members of the Foundation are directly involved in carrying help.

                 Since 1992 the Foundation has been fixing up help for ill children who are in Provincial Children Hospital in Toruń . The Foundation buys or receives such medical equipment as : respirators , incubators , infusion pumps and equipment for heart’s research . In 1994 the Foundation organized found-raising for medicines and bandages for children living in Kazachstan , Semipałotyńsk and in districts adjoining former Soviet Atomic Military Training Ground .

                 The medicines and bandages mentioned above were delivered by EquiLibre Foundation In 1997 the Foundation took direct part in carrying help for over 100 children from the South part of Poland where for flood was. The members of the Foundation organizing medical care , medicines and food.

                 The Foundation doesn’t run a business. It receives money by fund-raising at the streets , during charity balls, from lotteries, other charity organizations , legal and private persons.

                 Members of the Foundation’s Boand are doctors .lawyers, educator and businessman .Contacts and charity help from Rotary Club from Toruń and Germany are very helpful for the Foundation. In 1997 the Foundation received from rotary Club two new  Drager incubators , which rescue new born children’s life at Intensive Medical care Department in Provincial Children Hospital in Toruń..

                 From 1992 to 1998 the Foundation has received medical equipment worth about 220 000 zlotys (about 75 000 USD).

                 The Foundation acts in places where medical care for children is needed by many different ways. The inhabitants of Toruń selflessly take part in fund-raising for medical equipment - but it’s not enough because medical equipment is very expensive .

                 The Foundation wins people who understand children’s need’s who know Foundation’s activity – the all create the long chain of goodwill’s people . These people give a wonderful gift : health, smile and love
